About this space

Vacation Acadia’s “Big Ben “ offers modern living right @ charming downtown Bar Harbor. A perfect base for exploring Acadia. Located in a quiet dead-end street w/ 1st floor Master BR with en-suite bath , hi spd internet, Heat and cool each BR with minisplits, with generator. It has a fenced outdoor yard with dining table & chairs with propane grill . It is walking distance to restaurants, bars, bicycle shop, & Shore Path, Bar Island land bridge, Agamont Park. Parks 2 large vehicles.

The space

This is a 4 bedroom 2 full bath Home. The first floor Master Bedroom has en-suite tub shower combo and stacked Washer & Dryer. It has a 55 inch smart TV. It has an armoire for your clothes. The other three bed rooms are on the second floor. All bedrooms have each mini splits providing A/C and heat. Also has centralized heat as secondary source. The second floor bathroom features a walk in shower, double vanity sinks. Two of the bedrooms have queen mattresses and the 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds- nicely appointed to delight your kids. All three bedrooms have built-in closets. One of the three bedrooms has a small office chair & table suited for remote working


This property can conveniently park two large vehicles. One parks in the paved / asphalt driveway and the other in-front of the house by the gravel. It has an outdoor GFCI outlet close to the paved parking space that could be used to charge electric cars. Please refer to your manufacturer's charging instructions.


This house was designed with guest comfort in mind. There are many spaces to spread around the house.


There is front indoor porch with two cozy swivel sofas for conversations/downtime in-between your adventures.


In addition , there is a fenced outdoor patio with cushioned chairs to seat 6 + propane grill. The cushions and pillows are stored in the resin storage bin nearby. It has an oversized umbrella with built-in solar strip lights providing nice ambience at night. The place is perfect for lounging anytime during the day or evenings.


There are three large segregated garbage disposal bins.


The dining area offers a dining table for 6 and 2 for breakfast counter dining.


The kitchen has a granite counter top, and is equipped to cook a full basic meal. We also provide a lobster pot and crackers.


The outdoor patio furniture will not be available from November to April. The propane grill is available on demand with advanced notice for these cold months.

Guest access

Bar Harbor town has a paid parking system between May to October. The convenient location allows you to walk to nearby restaurants, shops, bars, and even to the beautiful scenic Shore Path. The Island Explorer Bus is free for Park Pass holders.

Other things to note

Strictly no smoking, vaping and use of drugs.


Guests with service animals are encouraged to notify the host / owner because of severe allergy to animal hair and dander. Due to medical reasons Host is unable to accommodate guests with animals.


Parks 2 large vehicles. One parks in the paved asphalt driveway and the other, in-front of the house by the gravel. Parking is huge convenience in DT during peak summer.


May to October Check In time is at 5:00 PM and Check Out time is at 10:00 AM. On off peak season (November to April),  we allow early check in between 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm based on availability.


We provide baby booster seat and pack n' play on demand.

Neighborhood highlights

The area is in a prime location in Bar Harbor, walking distance to restaurants, bars, and shops, yet in a relatively quiet dead end residential area.



It is a 15 minute walk to popular Agamont Park where you see fireworks display during 4th of July, 18 min walk to Shore Path, 6-8 minute walk to the Village Green and an 8 minute drive to Hull’s Cove Visitor Center of Acadia National Park. The Bar Harbor Bicycle shop is just a few blocks down the street.


YMCA, town Athletic Field and popular Park Street playground and a skate park is also nearby.

Getting around

There is paid street parking from May to October. Other months street and parking lot parking is free. You can ride your bike around town, walk to the nearby restaurants, shops, bars, and even the scenic Shore Path. Acadia National Park Hulls Cove Visitor Center is just 6-8 minutes drive. The Island Explorer Bus is free provided you have a Park Pass. Please visit their web site to know their bus stop locations and destinations throughout the town and the National Park.



Hannahford grocery store is only a few blocks from here. The Bar Beach that connects to the Bar Island on low tide where tourist explores is about 15-18 minutes walk.
