Vacation Acadia: Book this for quiet DT, location, outdoor space and ability for 2 couples to have space. Fenced Yard.

The layout allows for 2 couples to each have some personal space & 2 bedrooms each with king beds will each have a private outdoor deck.

Convenient access at the back to the athletic field w/tennis and pickleball courts

DT location affords walkability to shops and restaurants not limited by parking during peak summer months

Mini splits per bedroom for heat and cool

The space

This is a 3 bedroom 2 full bath home. There are two master bedrooms each with decks. The first floor Master has a king sized bed, en-suite bathroom, wardrobe closet, 58 inch Smart TV, washer & dryer, and a sliding door to access the 12x12 feet deck with patio furniture. The first floor bathroom has a tub-shower combo, toilet and single vanity sink with touch screen mirror.

The second floor Master Bedroom features a king-sized bed, sectional sofa, small wardrobe closet located just before you enter the room towards your left side, 75 inch smart TV, 12x8 feet balcony overlooking athletic field. The second floor third bedroom has a single queen-sized bed, closet, swivel chair, and small office table and chair. The second floor full bath features a small tiled walk-in shower, toilet, and single vanity sink with touch screen mirror. Minisplits in each BR , dining provide AC and heat. Additional heating as a back up is through electric baseboard heat.

This property can conveniently park two vehicles in tandem. Fenced backyard with gate to driveway and to the public tennis/ pickle ball court directly abutting the house.

This house was designed with guests’ comfort in mind. There are many spaces to spread around the house and the yard. A deck on each floor, nice sized backyard with propane fire pit. There is no formal living room as the sectional sofa is integrated in the second floor master bedroom.

There is an outdoor propane BBQ grill .

Three large segregated garbage disposal bins.

Enjoy the smart TV's in each master bedrooms.

The dining area offers a dining table with seating for 4 and 2 from the peninsula granite kitchen counter top.

The kitchen has a granite counter top, and is equipped to cook a full basic meal. We also provide lobster pot and crackers.

We provide freshly laundered beddings, linens, and towels. We have a small office table and chair for remote working.

The outdoor patio furniture will not be available from November to April. The propane grill however can be available on demand during the cold months. Please let the host know.

Guest access

Bar Harbor town has a paid parking system between May to October. Parking is packed in peak months making you appreciate the DT location. Other months of the year parking around town is free. You may also ride your bike around town. However this DT location allows for walking to nearby restaurants, shops, bar, and to the scenic Shore Path as well as Barr Island Trail which is accessible under low tide. There’s also the Island Explorer bus that’s free to ride with your park pass. The closest stop is 0.6 miles from the house at the Village Green. Please visit their web site for more designated bus stops and destinations.

Other things to note

Guests with service animals are encouraged to notify the host / owner because of animal (dander & hair) allergy by one of the owners / host who is closely engaged with maintaining the property. Due to medical reasons Host is unable to accommodate guests with animals.

We request to please respect our NO smoking, vaping or drugs policy.

We request guests to please notify us of breakage so they could be replaced for the next guests.

During May to October Check In time is at 5:00 PM and Check Out time is at 10:00 AM. However on off -peak season (November to April) where there are no same day turnovers or a least a day gap between guest stays- we allow early check in between 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm , depending on availability.

Grill and outdoor patio furniture are not available from November to March but available on demand with ahead notice.

We have complimentary pack n play and baby high chair if needed.

The home does not have a designated living room. Small sofa by the dining, large sectional by the second floor bedroom.

Neighborhood highlights

Located at Ledgelawn avenue parallel to Bar Harbor's Athletic field you are 2 small blocks from the main street. A 8-14 minute walk would lead you to the town's restaurants, shops, and Shore Path. The YMCA is just a block away if you like to do gym or swim. Children's Playground is a block away right next to the YMCA. The Tennis court is just behind the house beyond the Oak trees that cover it. Bar Island / Bar Beach is about 15-20 mins walk from the house.

Getting around

You can ride around town with your bike. For most hiking destinations you have to use your vehicle to get there except the shore path. Acadia National Park Hulls Cove Visitor Center is about 5-6 mins drive.



There is the Island Explorer Bus. It is free but you need to have a Park Pass to ride it. Search their web page: exploreacadia
